Where You'll Be

Welcome to the Ridgewood Farm Historic Farmhouse, a serene haven nestled only 3 miles away from the bustling Harding University and town, yet offering complete seclusion from the chaos. The abundance of wildlife thriving in this area including deer, hawks, Pileated Woodpeckers, Great Horned owls, quail, small birds, and even armadillos have found a home at Ridgewood. Here you can witness nature in its purest form, bask in the beauty of a lovely cypress encircled pond teeming with bass and brim. Our main house is home to four dogs and a black cat named Wednesday, but our guests have been known to fall in love with them and some dogs who visit regularly for daycare and dog-sitting.

In addition to our four-legged companions, Ridgewood is also home to 50+ chickens, 12 ducks, 5 goats, and several Dexter cows. You can revel in the beauty of nature, explore the area, take an art class at our well-equipped art studio or simply rest, relax, and rejuvenate on our tranquil land. Our farmhouse exudes a wonderful energy that promotes solace, peace, and quiet. And if you are in the mood for company, feel free to visit us in the main house, where we are happy to welcome you for meals, gather around the fire (indoors or outdoors), or even cook on the grill. We provide a grill for you to use between the main house and the farmhouse and a hibachi-type grill on the back patio of the main house.

Getting Around

Nestled in the heart of Arkansas, Searcy offers visitors a warm and welcoming small-town atmosphere. But let's face it – public transportation is not the town's strong suit, and restaurant options can be limited. That said, Searcy is home to an abundance of vintage shops, flea markets, and antique stores that make it a true hidden gem.

Exploring Searcy and its surroundings is a breeze if you have your own car. But fear not – even if you're on foot, there are plenty of shops within a two-mile walking distance. And the treasure trove of vintage finds and antiques that await you in Little Rock and beyond are well worth the drive.

Whether you're a collector or just looking for something unique, Searcy is the perfect destination. You never know what you'll find in one of the many vintage shops, ranging from retro clothing to vinyl records to antique furniture. And the flea markets are a treasure trove of unexpected treasures waiting to be discovered.

Make Searcy your next destination for a truly unique shopping experience. Don't forget to bring your sense of adventure and a love for all things vintage – you won't be disappointed!
